SELF PRINCIPLE SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP

Apply for the scholarship

A parent or guardian completes this form on behalf of a student in grades 4 to 8. It takes about ten minutes.

Applications are open year-round.

Apply by January 31 to be considered for the award announced May 1.

Apply by July 31. Second line: Considered for the award announced November 1.

These dates line up with when report cards come out, so your student applies with their most recent grades. Applications that arrive after a date roll to the next round automatically.

Before you start, have these ready.

• A short essay from the student. You can type it in the form or upload a file.

A recent report card, whatever your school issues.

• One document showing financial need.

Student grade

Write about your goals, how you contribute to your community, and what your sport means to you. Write it in your own words. If you are in grades 6 to 8, aim for about 400 to 600 words, roughly one to one and a half pages. If you are in grades 4 or 5, a shorter essay of about 200 to 300 words is perfect.

After you submit, you will get a confirmation by email. The review committee reads every application after the cycle closes. We only collect what we need to review the application, and student information is used only for that purpose.
